ToggleWHAT HAPPENED?
After being reduced to 10-men just before the 20th minute of their Copa America match with Panama on Thursday, Folarin Balogun opened the scoring for the USMNT with a wicked curling effort on his left foot.
Minutes after Tim Weah saw red for striking an opponent in the head, the young forward combined with fullback Antonee Robinson for a brilliant opening goal.

THE BIGGER PICTURE
The strike is a big boost for both the USMNT and Balogun, who has slowly found a bit of form this tournament. After a tough season in France with AS Monaco, the 23-year-old striker has been handed the nod twice so far this tournament, rewarding Gregg Berhalter's choice with a goal in each match played so far.
Unfortunately for the USMNT, though, his effort was cancelled out with Panama scoring two unanswered to end the match.

WHAT NEXT FOR USMNT
The USMNT will take on Uruguay in the third match of their Group Stage in Copa America 2024. They'll be looking to top the group with a result against Marcelo Bielsa's side, but a loss could send them home, too.
